Set to the Dakota melody LACQUIPARLE, Karen Marrolli's original text evokes images of nature to epitomize healing and to praise God's gift to us. The Native American melody is supported by additional pentatonic phrases in the flute and violin parts, with an optional hand drum part providing an even further connection to the hymn tune's origin. The piano also supports this theme with open-fifth chords, particularly in its lower register, and also features cascading figures to represent flowing rivers. A truly unique anthem!
