Using the pentatonic scale as a foundation, this traditional Japanese folksong depicts spring, the season of cherry blossoms. The melody is simple without many notes or difficult rhythms- a great learning and performance experience for developing flute choirs. Scored for four C flutes, alto flute, bass flute, and contrabass flute. Includes an extra C flute part as a substitute for the alto flute part.
