Purcell's familiar vocal duet Sound the Trumpet is presented for two-part mixed choir and a more recent two-part treble in this effervescent transcription. Using text from the Psalms, this anthem offers the choir a chance to experience some simple Baroque melismas in a brief, festive presentation.
