Sonata in D Major
This is exceptionally nice! Originally composed for two violins and continuo, this Sonata makes a very effective piece for string orchestra. The original violin parts are taken by 1st and 2nd violins, and the continuo is realized in three parts playable by various combinations of violins, violas, cellos and basses. A truly delightful Baroque work, this will be the highlight of the concert for your violins!
