Publisher Desc.  One of Aphrodite's attendants, Antheia was a Greek goddess of flowers, gardens, and vegetation. This piece captures her different traits as imagined by the composer: dignified and confident; intense and unrelenting; caring and beautiful. The instrumentation is for a double woodwind quintet consisting of two flutes, two oboes, two clarinets, two horns, and two bassoons. Song of Antheia was premiered by the Pennsylvania Chamber Winds on June 6th, 2021 in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
