These creative warm-ups focus on four aspects of string performance essential to the refinement of musicianship and skill at the intermediate level. These facets can be used in any order as individual warm-ups or as structured units. Students will develop high-level listening skills through practicing intervals, chord tones and balance, various chord qualities, drones, and extended hand patterns. Students will also learn to analyze, audiate, and perform bowing fluency exercises to learn expressive bow strokes and execute fluid string crossings.
