This bright work utilizes color, rhythm, and melody to propel itself forward. This piece was written to resemble the sun and the many colors it can show throughout the world. The meter is used effectively to push the piece forward in the latter half, and it presents some great opportunities for the woodwinds to achieve with some faster lines along with some beautiful melodic lines for the whole band. This work will be one that will leave an impression on your students and audiences alike.
