Tarantella
"Do you remember the dance? Can you do it, by chance? Then dance!" In Tarantella, the music and words work together to portray the exuberant, even frenzied character of many Southern Italian folk dances. Originally believed to be a cure for the symptoms induced by the venom of the tarantula spider, victims would whirl around until felled by exhaustion! The piccolo part can also be played by a flute, violin, or any C instrument.
