The Banks of the Delaware
A distinct blend of woodland and prairie, the northeast region of Kansas is among the most beautiful in the state, and the Delaware River is one of many meandering through its lush and rolling landscape. This piece opens with a clarinet solo that builds into the full ensemble. This lyrical setting is reminiscent of American folk music. Ample doubling of parts is provided for bands with less than ideal instrumentation.
