The Children's Crusade
Publisher Desc.
In Birmingham Alabama in 1963, a series of non-violent protests and demonstrations were aimed at trying to desegregate school buildings in the south. The resulting backlash from law enforcement and general public alike put the city in the national spotlight, and highlighted what we need and still need to do as a nation to educate all children. This piece is as much an homage to their struggle and fight as much as it is a reminder that our work is far from over.
