Composed by Neal Hefti, The Creeper is a cool swing chart arranged by Roy Phillippe. The swing tempo is right on target at around 120 bpm -- and check out the bridge section, it is definitely "misterioso!" There are no solos, just great ensemble writing with modest brass ranges for younger players. The trombone section gets to lay down some nice section playing too. A sweet chart, this one is right in the pocket! Optional reduced or expanded instrumentation.
