The Discovery of Self

Exploring themes of group identity and the need to fit in versus the power of individualism and the expression of one's unique personality, this complete show include six dramatic songs. Especially relevant for teenagers, the show explores questions of "Who am I?" and "What do I stand for?" and whether to belong to a group or to stake out one's own distinctive path. Musical genres featured in the show include a dramatic Broadway opener, a guitar-led rock change of pace, a heartfelt orchestral ballad, a pop costume-change number, and an alternative rock closer.
