The Four Horsemen

Faced with the grim reminder of death during the height of the pandemic, this original work based on the Biblical narrative of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse from the Latin Vulgate grapples with death as an ever-present specter. The pounding triplets and ascending bass line in the piano four hands accompaniment bring a frantic sense of drama and impending disaster that is expanded on by the equally dramatic choral harmonies.
