Publisher Desc.  Karl King was a founding member of the American Bandmasters Association and his marches are a significant part of American Band history. He also wrote in other genres of the era and this overture, with its stylistically different sections was very popular. One can picture an old-fashioned band concert in the park as it prominently features a fine euphonium performer and/or section.
