Employing scriptures from Advent through Epiphany, it illustrates them through continuously unfolding carols. Included are Silent Night; The Holly And The Ivy; Angels From The Realms Of Glory; Rocking; O Come, Little Children; The Friendly Beasts; He Is Born and many more. Also included are Christmas legends such as The Legend Of The First Christmas Tree that traces modern customs to their Christian origins. Approximately 35 minutes long, "The Living Creche" may be presented as a Christmas pageant in the form of a living Nativity scene. It may also be performed as a Service of Lessons and Carols, complete with music, scripture, and Christmas meditations. Optional chamber orchestra accompaniment, chamber orchestra cassette track, and 3-octave handbell accompaniment are also available. Flexible, easily adapted to a variety of performance needs, "The Living Creche" is perfect for Christmas worship or special seasonal celebrations.
