The Spectrum of Emotion

This dramatic complete show for SATB or SSA choir examines the wide variety of emotions that define the human experience. It begins with an intimate portrayal of sadness where we are led into a storm of negative emotions that culminate in a burst of anger. The pain felt while under this dark cloud can lead to despair, at which point there is nothing to do but try and find the good that still exists. Eventually, it is gratitude that leads us back in a positive direction, and we are able to feel love again. Musical genres featured in the show include a dramatic rock opener, a heavy metal change of pace, a gospel-pop ballad, a blues-pop costume-change sequence, and an RB dance closer. The show features a number of significant vocal solos and the option to also showcase a violinist and electric guitarist.
