The Wild Geese
This setting of Wendell Berry's beloved and inspirational poem is one of the movements of the composer's larger work, A Timbered Choir. The choir sings softly in unison much of the time, accompanied by a haunting single line in the piano. There are quite dramatic moments when the choir breaks into rich harmonies, calling for minimal divisi. Your accompanist will truly enjoy establishing the mood in this three-minute work.
