Drawing on a variety of primary sources based on extensive field research, this set of three indigenous melodies from the island of Bali is presented in a charming suite for treble choirs. The piano accompaniments reflect compositional techniques that imitate the gamelan, a traditional Balinese instrument, and the harmonies are tastefully added allowing the melodies to shine. Translations and pronunciation guides are provided.
