Written by Donald Skirvin for baritone and piano, "Through Love's Eyes" sets William Shakespeare's varied commentary about love in four of his plays: A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Merchant of Venice, Love's Labour's Lost, and Romeo and Juliet. Range is G2-D4. The compositional language is tonal and rich. This work is the first movement of a trio of solo works taken from two other plays, Macbeth and The Tempest.
