Through the Eyes of a Child

Following the life of a child from birth until it's time to leave the nest, this complete show for SATB choir is an ideal choice for adolescents. Just as we welcome the arrival of a new baby, we learn that they can present difficult and hilarious challenges, and we can take the time to appreciate the hard work and sacrifice of our parents. Growing into adolescence has its own challenges as we experience all the awkwardness and longing for connection that it brings. Finally, as we prepare to set off on our own, we share a final wish to keep our youthful joy alive for the rest of our lives. Musical genres featured in the show include an alt-rock opener, a comedic novelty piece, a '60s rock costume-change sequence, a poignant pop ballad, a Broadway-style setup song, and a dance-pop closer.
