Publisher Desc.  Gustav Holst is well known by wind players for his sparkling pieces for wind band. In those he used English folk tunes or tunes he composed having a folk flavor. This piece set by John Gibson for clarinet trio comes from Holst's Toccata for piano based upon the Northumbrian song Newburn Lads. It is 2 minutes long, so one entertaining idea would be to play it slowly first and then increase the tempo each time.
