Universal Accompaniments
This unique album of universal flute 2 accompaniments is compatible with any standard edition of the following solo repertoire works available: 24 Etudes for Flute, Op. 15 (Anderson); 24 Etudes for Flute, Op. 33 (Anderson); 18 Studies for Flute (Berbiguier); Flute Concerto Ni. 1 in G (Mozart) and Flute Concerto No. 2 in D (Mozart).
The odea of creating a second flute part has its foundation in the teachings of the great French flutist Marcel Moyse (a pivotal mentor to Professor Wincenc). In lessons, Moyse would accompany the student on his own instrument, and often vocally improvise melodies and/or lyrics. In adding his second line, Moyse was able to underscore the harmonic, melodic, rhythmic structure and shape of the lines in a way that went far beyond any possible verbal explanation. It intuitively teaches rhythmic stability, phrasing, intonation, and quality of sound by playing with the master. This collection is an indispensable resource for any flutist learning or teaching the core repertoire.
