Publisher Desc.  These arrangements of two Russian folk songs, "Venok" (Flower Circlet) and "Horovod" (Round Dance), will introduce beginner string players to Russian musical traditions that include songs and dances with the accompaniment of plucked instruments. The pieces are written in D major and E minor keys and feature switching from arco to pizzicato, scales, arpeggios, interaction between the voices, and an optional guitar part. The middle section of "Horovod" provides additional challenge for more advanced players in the group.
