Reel One is about fractals, never-ending patterns created by repeating a simple process over and over. Fractals have the same shape whether viewed close up or far away; nature is filled with them.
For the wind band, each instrument has a series of only four pitches that they play sometimes zoomed in, sometimes zoomed out. The colors shift and the pictures change as we "click" through each image, but the fractals remain intact for each instrument.
