This concert setting of the traditional spiritual is easy enough for the beginning SATB choir.  The subdued opening gives way to a moderate rock feel that keeps cooking all the way, with effective call-and-response harmonies and expressive dynamics.  For mixed choirs in middle school through high school, this is very nice!
