Publisher Desc.  Friedrich Linder (1795-1846) was German.  This wind quintet, Opus 1, was published by Hofmeister in 1820.  According to Pazdirek's Universal-Handbuch der Musikliteratur Aller Zeiten und Volker, in addition to his wind quintet Opus 1, Linder composed his Opus 2 Adagio et Polonaise for piano and violin, Opus 4 Zwolf Lieder, Opus 5 Vier brillante Stucke for violin and piano, Opus 6 Quatre pieces for violin and piano as well as a ballet, 3 dances, and a march.  Instrumentation includes:  flute, oboe, clarinet, horn and bassoon (wind quintet).
