Publisher Desc.  Written for the Hillcrest Wind Ensemble by director John Winkelman, this piece introduces us to the witches by way of a fanfare with multiple meter changes. The fanfare lasts less then a minute and the clarinets and low woodwinds take us into "Casting the Spell," a musical depiction of the witch's trials, tribulations and successes of trying to cast an effective spell.
