This rich setting includes all four verses of the hymn for choir with piano and/or orchestra accompaniment. The choral parts begin with unison singing of the first verse followed by alternating phrases of treble and tenor-bass voices for the second verse. The third verse is again in unison, building into four-part harmony for the chorus. There is a short interlude modulating up a step for the fourth verse that builds to a majestic ending. Optional orchestra parts are suitable for intermediate to advanced players.
