The third movement in "A Celtic Suite" is written as an english style march. The piece opens with a snare drum and bass drum march pattern that present almost throughout the entire movement. Can be used as a march by itself or used as a contrast movement between any of the other movements in this suite. There are several opportunities for solos (trumpet, clarinet, horn and flute) in this piece and can be used to introduce concepts such as staccato and the stylistic/form differences between an American march and a British March. This piece is written in a simple ABA format.
