Illustrating the difficulties associated with finding a new way, specifically from the perspective of an Iranian American, this work expresses feelings of aspiration, optimism, and joy, even while still recognizing that "with freedom comes a cost." Including both improvised and aleatoric sections, this creative narrative selection is for more advanced choirs.
