A Journey to the West

Inspired by Wild West soundtracks, this piece tells of the bravery, courage, and also the innocence of a hero in spite of himself. After a baroque and majestic opening typical of Westerns, a rapid gallop of bass and percussion ushers in the hero's theme – lively, light, and carefree, first in the horns and saxophones, then taken up by the woodwinds and trumpets. The atmosphere quickly becomes heavier as a shadow flies over the city! Beware!
