A Midsummer Night's Dream Scherzo

Written for a large mallet ensemble (12 players), this medium-advanced scherzo contains a lot of notes in compound meter that require quick playing at soft levels. Scored for bells, chimes, two xylophones, two marimbas (five octave) and three smaller four-octave marimbas. While challenging, this three-minute piece is also intended to remain light and playful throughout, with all dynamics being relative.
