A Mother's Aria

Containing a gentle, flowing melody, this work begins with natural harmonics and glissando harmonics that create a "simmering" effect within the ensemble. This effect is accompanied by random col legno on the open strings withing the middle voices. This produces a "rain dropping" effect, which aids in creating an ethereal feel.
