A Symphonic Journey

Here is a three-part complete field show that truly is a musical voyage, featuring arrangements of some of James Swearingen's most popular concert band works. Part 1, taken from Dawn of a New Day, begins mysteriously but increases in tempo and excitement, tapering off with a beautiful piccolo solo. The second part, Winter's Fury from Into the Joy of Spring, features captivating mixed meters and high energy. The show concludes with the Adagio and Allegro Marcato, portions of Novena. The music translates very well from the concert band stage to the marching band field.
