A Taste of Honey

This Duke Pearson arrangement of the Bobby Scott/Ric Marlow standard comes from the 1967 album Introducing the Duke Pearson Big Band. For the first time in print, this great chart features a tenor saxophone solo and a flute, or alto sax, solo at the end. As is the case with most of Pearson's arrangements, this chart features outstanding sectional writing as well as intense full ensemble passages. This is high-bar jazz writing at its best!
