A Thousand and One Nights, Conductor Score, Lever & Pedal Harps

This Conductor Score combines Pedal and Lever Harp versions of A Thousand and One Nights. The Pedal and Lever Harp versions are not exactly the same. They differ in the pedal/lever markings, harmony notes and which harp is playing the melody note. The Waltz sections are clearly marked. Johann Stauss, Jr. used themes from his operetta, Indigo and the Forty Thieves, to create this wonderful orchestra piece. The mysterious Arabian introduction is followed by three Waltzes. Waltz II is the most famous melody. Johanns youngest brother, Eduard, was a harpist. He conducted his own orchestra from his harp. He is the only Strauss brother to tour in the United States.
