Abide With Me

Incredibly moving and emotional, "Abide With Me" is now lushly and delicately arranged for a concert band. This traditional hymn, taken straight from the hymnal, is the official hymn of the armed forces of the United Kingdom, because it has much pastoral and comforting power. Each verse is seamlessly connected, while showcasing different instruments and parts within each section. There are light and intricate interludes between each verse, which builds motion and emotion to each beautiful verse. Both brass and woodwinds take turns with each gentle melody and phrase.
