Advent of Hope

The hopefulness and longing of the text are expressed beautifully in the music by the use of a minor key and 6/8 time. Homophonic choral parts are supported by a lilting and ethereal piano accompaniment. The Picardy third at the end concludes the piece on a reassuring note.
