African Accents

Arranged for string orchestra with percussion, this unique medley provides players and audiences a wonderful opportunity to experience rarely heard folk music from several different countries in Africa, including Uganda, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Ghana and others.  Percussion is really important in creating the various African rhythms, and one section of the piece is a percussion drum chant feature.  With interdisciplinary teaching tools included, this is a strong educational choice.  Aside from a few tricky spots, groups at the Easy level will want to look at this one, too.
