After You've Gone

Inspired by the original Roy Eldridge/Gene Krupa recording, this drum set feature is dynamically understated. This more contemporary version of this great standard features long melodic lines with the drummer just grooving below. There's a half-time swing section with a unison line, a drum solo interspersed with the  ensemble, and an open solo section. The brass ranges are modest and there are parts included for optional added instruments. Very creative!
