"Ah Chute" is written as a piece that allows the players to experience the music as a game with the same tenacity and competitiveness that they would have played "Chutes and Ladders" as a child. The players are free to "play" while creating music together. This piece follows the rules of the classic board game "Chutes and Ladders." Players each roll dice to determine how many measures they play. If the last measure they land on/play has a ladder or chute symbol underneath, the player then follows the instructions and plays the given phrase to either propel them further in the game or knock them back. Who can reach 100 first and win the game?!
