Air

The choirmaster of St. Thomas' Church in Leipzig set out to arrange probably the most popular instrumental piece of his great predecessor in this position: the famous Air from the Suite for Orchestra No. 3. In this work, the vocalises commonly used in arrangements for choir or solo voices are combined with the music with the central Christian wish for eternal peace.
