Alfred's Beginning Drum Set Method

This innovative, practical approach to playing the drumset captures students' interest from the first lesson, when they play an actual beat!  All of the beats presented can be used in an actual performance situation.  The book is divided into two sections - Rock and Jazz.  Each section covers the use of hi-hat, ride cymbal, snare drum and bass drum.  With the help of the CD recording, the student can follow the book while hearing each of the beats played.  It also includes three actual arrangements, two in a rock style, the other in jazz, allowing the drummer to have the experience of actually playing with a group!
