All the Pretty Little Horses

Don't pass this one by! Great music often masquerades under the name of a folk tune. Here, much like Vaughn-Williams' Greensleeves, Townsend has created a serious work from a simple folk melody. This is excellent music! At one point, solo first violin is joined by a solo second, then solo viola, and finally cello for a brief but beautiful "string quartet" within the larger work. This is clearly a high caliber work meant to bring out the best in your strings and to create a memorable musical moment for all who hear it. This is the real thing!
