Alpine Memories

Bring some international flavor to your concerts with this collection of Germanic folk tunes from the Alpine region of Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. Three folk tunes are introduced by a bit of Deutschlandlied, the German national anthem. First to be heard is the lilting and polka-like Ach, du lieber Augustin followed by the passionate Zu Mantua in Banden, the official anthem of the Austrian state of Tyrol. Closing the piece on a robust note is the boisterous Krambambuli for a jovial and high spirited finish.
