American Pie

This well-known melody sure to please the audience and the band has been made popular again -- this time by Madonna in the movie Whatever It Takes. Master arranger Dave Wolpe has taken Don McLean's great classic rock hit and adapted it for jazz ensemble. With modest brass ranges and solo space (written out) for tenor sax, this arrangement has all the ingredients for a terrific rock chart. Everybody will be whistling this tune -- a very effective arrangement!
