Angels We Have Heard On High

Taken from the composer's larger Christmas work, Sing the Songs of Bethlehem: A Lessons and Carols, this sprightly excerpt is intended for use as a festive congregational hymn accompaniment using organ, flute, oboe and strings. Three standard stanzas are set here (with options for varying them) and a fourth final stanza has an optional descant and gently modified harmonies.
