Composed chiefly after her marriage to Robert Schumann, these songs are taken from Drei Lieder aus Zwolf Gedichte aus Friederich Ruckert's Liebesfruhling opus 12 and Sechs Lieder opus 13, as well as the stand-alone songs Walzer; Am Strand; Mein Stern; Lorelei; and Beim Abschied. The high-voice edition presents each song in its original key while the medium-low edition includes appropriate transpositions of each song.
