"Anointed for Your People" is a hymn for the ordination of a Catholic priest, set to the beloved tune Ellacombe (“I Sing the Mighty Power of God”). The text celebrates the priestly vocation of preaching, blessing, and healing, and prays for God’s grace to sustain him throughout his ministry. This hymn is especially fitting for ordination liturgies, anniversaries of ordination, and parish celebrations of priestly service.
