Anywhere

Inspired by Bach's keyboard inventions, the "Inventions for Choir" deal with the five fingers of a pianist's hand, with each finger represented by a poem from Charles Anthony Silvestri. In Anywhere, the thumb is expressed through polyphonic writing on a text about journeying to a new place by holding out the thumb on a dusty road. Inventions can be performed in any combination or as stand-alone pieces. Titles in the series: Anywhere; Claddagh Crown; The Duchess; I'm Told and Tenue Tamen Potente.
